Local PastorThe Alexanders

Elder Charlton Alexander and his wife, Alice, residing in Knightdale, NC since 1991, are the laymen leaders of the East Wake Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Church, a church plant of the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The sermon used to convey their calling emphasized Joel 3:13, 14, “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. . . Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” Charlton and Alice, understood their calling to one day plant a church in the east Wake County, bring to a growing region of the Triangle a special message known as the Everlasting Gospel.

The providence of God is clearly seen in the education received and passionate services rendered by them both. Charlton has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Religion, a Master of Science in Accounting, with a concentration in Technology, and Master of Science in Addiction Counseling. He has served as a Bible School teacher, Youth Director, Church Pianist, Choir director and Minister of Music, and was ordained as an Elder while attending Gethsemane SDA Church, Raleigh, NC. He loves preaching, teaching, singing, and composing songs and church responses, and lives to evangelize.

Alice has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Accounting, with a concentration in Controllership. Alice has served as a Bible School teacher, Bible School Superintendent, Youth Directory, Choir director, Minister of Music, and Church Treasurer. Two of her greatest accomplishments are starting and growing a private Christian school, and serving as its principal for 11 years, and starting and growing a successful accounting firm, Alexander Accounting, Inc. Together with their daughter, Danielle Salek, Alice and Charlton work as accountants at Salek, CPA, PC. As a new entity, Salek, CPA, PC recently transitioned from Alexander Accounting, Inc.

It is very clear, the Alexanders are passionate! They are passionate about working together . . . working together in their career and working together socially, as they walk, jog, workout, and, ride bicycles, and spend time with friends and, most of all, family. They have three grown children: Leslie (son), Danielle (daughter), and Abdel (Danielle’s husband). Even more, the Alexanders are passionate about working together for the Lord! There life is greatly motivated by Charlton’s favorite Bible text, Isaiah 43:7, “Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Click to read Pastoral Invitation
